Ban Peuay Lao School Renovation

Ban Peuayalo, a small village on the east side of Done Daeng Island, is home to 218 people. The existing school was built in 2001 with four bamboo classrooms. However, the school urgently needed one more classroom, as some of the students had to study in the village temple. Two toilets (one for boys and one for girls) were also needed, as well as a water pump and electricity.

The project started in 2015 with the help of villagers for the labor, an was completed in June 2016 with donations from the guests and the Lodge summing up to approximately USD 5,000.
